Vinky is designed to help children revise and practise the work they're learning at school.

It's not a replacement for teachers, homework or extra lessons.

Think of it as that little bit of extra practice that helps schoolwork become more familiar.

And you don't need to be a teacher to use it!

Absolutely.

Vinky's revision content follows South Africa's CAPS curriculum.

You choose the grade, subject, term and topics you want your child to practise.

So you're not downloading some random worksheet from the internet and hoping it's the right work.

Vinky is designed for Grades 4 to 6 in 2026.

The subjects include: Social Sciences (both History and Geography), Natural Science and Technology as well as Life Skills.

In 2027 Vinky will include English HL, Afrikaans FAL as well as Grade 7.

Vinky doesn't generate questions on the spot while your child is revising.

The questions come from a prepared, CAPS-aligned question bank that goes through a review and approval process before being made available.

AI-assisted tools may be used during content preparation, but the questions aren't simply invented by a chatbot during your child's adventure.

You don't need to find another hour in your already busy day!

Ten minutes of regular revision is a lovely place to start.

Some days you might do more. Some days life happens and you don't get around to it.

The idea is to build a manageable habit throughout the school year.

Little and often. That's the Vinky way.

You're in control!

Choose 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes, or enter your own duration.

You can also choose a pass mark, or leave it off when simply completing the revision is enough.

A quick refresher after school or a longer weekend revision? Whatever works for your family.

You can schedule revision in the Parent App and let your child work through it independently in LevelUp.

But when you do have time, there's also Revise With My Child.

You can sit together, go through the work and tackle questions on your device.

Both are good ways to revise. Neither makes you a better or worse parent!

Open the Parent App, choose what needs revising and schedule it for your child.

Their adventure will be waiting in LevelUp on their connected device.

You don't have to be in the same room to get revision organised.

There are different ways to use Vinky.

Your child can revise independently in LevelUp, you can use Revise With My Child together or you can print a practice test.

Because sometimes you want them on a screen.

And sometimes you'd really rather they weren't!

You use the Vinky Parent App.

That's where you plan revision, choose topics, set rewards, print tests and check results.

Your child uses Vinky LevelUp.

That's where the characters, treasure chests, questions and adventures live.

Your child doesn't need a separate email account. Their LevelUp experience is connected to your family account.

Not necessarily!

Vinky has different questions that can test the same topic in different ways.

When you revisit a topic, Vinky can use other questions from the available question bank.

Within an adventure, questions your child found tricky can also return for another attempt.

Because we want children to understand the work, not just memorise which button they pressed yesterday.

That's when some of the learning happens!

Instead of simply revealing the answer and moving on, Vinky explains the concept and provides a short memory trick.

Later, the question can return in the Tricky Round, giving your child another opportunity to answer.

And if it's still tricky, Vinky provides further guidance.

Ah, yes. The moment they ask you something about Grade 6 History and your own school days suddenly feel VERY long ago. 😂

That's what the Cheat Sheet is for!

Ask your child for the little question number displayed in LevelUp.

Type that number into the Parent App's Cheat Sheet and you can see the question, the answer, explanations and memory trick.

You can even see why the other answer options aren't correct.

Then confidently say, "Well, let's have a look at this..."

They never need to know you were just as confused.

Yes!

Sometimes there's nothing quite like a proper pen-and-paper test.

With Print a Test, you can choose the revision content and create a printable practice paper.

You also get a memorandum and Cheat Sheet to help you go through the answers together.

The test preparation is sorted.

Unfortunately, we can't promise your printer will cooperate. 😉

A reward can be something simple, like choosing Friday's dinner, staying up a little later or getting a bit of extra gaming time.

When you schedule revision, you choose one reward for the adventure.

Your child can see what they're working towards.

When they've completed the required revision and met any pass mark you've set, they've earned their reward.

Then it's over to you!

On supported phones and tablets, you can also add Vinky to your Home Screen so it opens and feels more like an app.

Vinky needs an internet connection to load revision, save answers and keep the Parent App and LevelUp connected.

A normal home internet or mobile data connection can be used.

You'll need a supported phone, tablet or computer, an up-to-date web browser and an internet connection.

Vinky LevelUp is designed to be used upright on phones and tablets.

Turn the device sideways and you'll get a friendly reminder:

"Turn me upright!"

On a laptop or desktop computer, LevelUp works in its own portrait-style layout without asking you to rotate your screen.

Vinky costs R279 per month for your first child.

Each additional child is R75 per month.

That includes the connected Parent App and LevelUp experience, with the revision tools available on your plan.

And remember, Vinky is designed for regular revision throughout the school year, not just the few weeks before exams.

You can manage your subscription in the Parent App.

Go to Your plan and choose Stop automatic renewal.

You keep access for the period you've already paid for, and stopping renewal doesn't automatically erase your child's previous revision results.

No awkward phone calls or having to explain why you want to leave.

Where a trial is available, you'll see the offer and its price on the Your plan screen before paying.

Any trial terms, including when access ends and whether a further payment is required, will be displayed before you confirm.
