Vinky Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

This policy explains cancelling a purchase or automatic payment and requesting a refund from Vyncora (Pty) Ltd, operator of Vinky (company registration 2026/367938/07). It forms part of our Terms & Conditions. Applicable South African consumer rights always take precedence over a provision that cannot lawfully limit them.

Buying one month at a time

A Pay for one month purchase covers the access period shown before you pay. It is a separate purchase, not an automatically renewing subscription. Nothing further is charged unless you decide to buy access again.

Stopping automatic monthly payments

If you choose Pay automatically each month, the Parent App shows the recurring amount and next payment date under Your plan. You can stop future payments at any time under Your plan → Stop automatic renewal. We stop initiating future recurring charges once the cancellation is recorded; any payment already initiated must be dealt with safely and cannot simply be assumed unsuccessful.

Your existing paid access ordinarily lasts until its paid-through date. We do not ordinarily refund unused days merely because you stopped automatic renewal early or did not use the service. Cancellation does not itself delete your child’s results or account.

If Vinky increases the subscription price for an existing automatic-payment arrangement, we give you at least 30 days’ notice before collecting the higher recurring subscription amount. We show the proposed new price, its effective date and how to cancel. A higher amount will not be charged without that notice. Separately authorised changes to the number of children on your plan may affect the next unpaid amount under the plan terms.

Vinky’s 72-hour trial is paid, can be purchased only once per eligible family and ends after the purchased 72-hour period. It does not automatically convert into a monthly subscription. Unused trial time does not ordinarily qualify for a partial refund solely because you do not use it; your statutory rights remain unaffected.

Refunds and cooling-off rights

We review incorrect or duplicate charges, non-delivery of purchased access, material service failures and any circumstance in which a refund or another remedy is required by law.

For eligible electronic purchases of services, section 44 of South Africa’s Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA) may provide a seven-day cooling-off right. Section 42 provides exceptions, including for services begun during that seven-day period with the consumer’s consent. Where we begin eligible digital access immediately, we ask separately for the consumer’s consent to that immediate start. We do not treat payment alone as proof that all statutory cancellation or refund rights are lost. Other rights under the Consumer Protection Act and other applicable law also remain available.

When a refund is due under law, Vinky arranges the refund using an appropriate payment channel within the applicable statutory deadline. Where ECTA section 44 applies, the statute requires a qualifying refund within 30 days of cancellation.

Request a refund or report a problem

Email vinkyrecap@gmail.com and provide the email address on your Vinky account, the transaction date, the amount and a brief explanation. We may ask you to verify your authority to discuss the account or payment. Never email your full card number, card security code or account password. We will review the request and explain the outcome. Payment-provider and banking processing times can vary.
